Cookie policy

This page describes what Velto writes into a visitor's browser and what it leaves alone. It complements the privacy policy.

The site sets no cookies

Velto uses no cookies at all: none for analytics, none for advertising, none for social networks. No consent banner appears on arrival, since there is nothing to consent to in the first place.

One technical caveat belongs here. The site sits behind Cloudflare's security network, which may set a strictly necessary cookie when a connection triggers a bot check. That cookie exists only to tell a human visitor from an automated one. It falls among the trackers exempt from consent.

What local storage holds instead

A handful of preferences live in the browser's local storage, an area separate from cookies that never travels to the server:

All of it is functional and triggered by the visitor's own actions. None of it identifies anyone or follows anyone across other sites.

Analytics without cookies

Site statistics rely on a measurement tool built in house that records anonymous events, with no cookie and no session identifier. The fields recorded and the fact that no IP address is kept are set out in the privacy policy.

Clearing local storage

Deleting the site's browsing data from the browser settings clears every one of these preferences at once. A private window achieves the same result, since everything it holds disappears when the window closes.

If the site changes

Adding any third party service that sets cookies, advertising or otherwise, would mean putting a proper consent banner in place first and updating this page.
