These terms govern the use of veltotools.com. Using the site means accepting them. Anyone who disagrees should simply not use it.

What the service is

Velto provides free online calculators, converters and generators, along with reference tables, a glossary and explanatory articles. Access requires no account, no sign-up and no payment.

Informational results, not professional advice

The tools apply published formulas and public rate tables, under simplifying assumptions stated on each page. Their output is informational and provided for general reference.

A net pay estimate uses average contribution rates and is not a payslip. A tax figure is not an accountant's opinion. A body mass index is a statistical indicator, never a diagnosis or a substitute for medical advice. Anything affecting money, legal standing or health deserves a qualified professional first.

Availability

The site is provided on an as available basis. The operator may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time, including for maintenance, without notice or compensation. Tools and content get corrected, updated and sometimes retired.

Acceptable use

Interfering with the operation of the site is not permitted, which rules out bulk automated scraping, intrusion attempts, deliberate overloading of the servers and circumvention of technical limits.

Some tools expose an open API, meaning an address that returns the result of a calculation as raw data, documented on the tool's own page. Reasonable non-commercial volumes are welcome, provided they do not degrade the service for others. Access may be restricted for any client that abuses it.

Intellectual property

The site, its editorial content, its reference tables and the tool source code are protected by copyright and remain the property of the operator. Results produced by the tools are free to use, including commercially.

Republishing the written content, the tables or the code elsewhere requires prior written permission, apart from short quotations that credit and link to the source page.

The operator takes reasonable care to keep calculations and content correct. No warranty is given that they are error free, complete or current at any given moment, in particular when a statutory rate changes mid-year.

Spotting an error

A calculation error or a piece of outdated information reported to [email protected] is handled as a priority, since a wrong number does more harm than no number at all.

Changes to these terms

These terms change as the service and the applicable rules evolve. The version that applies is the one published on this page at the time of the visit.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law, the site being operated from France. The courts of Draguignan have jurisdiction over disputes that cannot be settled amicably. Anyone using the site as a consumer keeps the benefit of the mandatory consumer protections and the competent courts of their country of residence.
